Work Schedule: Hybrid: minimum of 3 days per week onsite in Reston, VA. This position is not eligible for full-time remote work.
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Recruiter to source, engage, interview, and guide top talent through the hiring process. This individual will partner closely with hiring managers and internal stakeholders to support talent acquisition initiatives and ensure recruiting programs, processes, and strategies align with business needs.
The ideal candidate will have strong relationship-building skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Major Responsibilities
- Identify and leverage industry trends, legislative updates, and recruiting best practices to help ensure talent acquisition programs, policies, and processes remain current and effective.
- Source, screen, and interview candidates for a variety of positions while ensuring compliance with applicable policies and regulatory requirements.
- Review resumes and assess candidates based on relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
- Conduct screening interviews, coordinate and support hiring manager interviews, and assist with candidate evaluation and selection.
- Manage candidate communication throughout the hiring process, including extending offers and providing feedback when appropriate.
- Partner with hiring managers to develop job requisitions, job descriptions, and recruiting strategies.
- Create and manage job postings across internal and external platforms and coordinate with external recruiting partners or agencies as needed.
- Represent the organization at career fairs and recruiting events, participate in campus recruiting initiatives, and build targeted sourcing pipelines and talent networks.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 5–8 years of relevant experience; or
- 9–12 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Strong ability to build relationships and effectively partner with candidates, hiring managers, and internal stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong initiative and sound judgment in candidate assessment, hiring decisions, and issue escalation.
- Ability to manage a high volume of tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience supporting technical, engineering, infrastructure, manufacturing, construction, or other specialized hiring environments is preferred.
- Experience supporting large-scale or complex organizations is a plus.
