Overview
Mc3 Partners is supporting a leading SaaS organization in highly regulated industries in the search for a Sales Engineer to join a growing Go To Market team. This role partners closely with Sales to help customers understand the full value of a secure, enterprise SaaS platform and how it addresses complex technical and compliance driven challenges.
The Sales Engineer plays a critical role in translating customer needs into clear, compelling technical solutions. This position is highly collaborative and works cross functionally with Services, Operations, Engineering, and Product teams to ensure successful customer outcomes.
What the Day to Day Looks Like
Partner with Sales teams to engage prospects and customers, clearly articulating the business and technical value of SaaS solutions.
Interpret customer requirements and design tailored technical solutions aligned to business objectives and compliance needs.
Deliver compelling product demonstrations and lead Proof of Concept engagements.
Leverage expertise in authentication protocols such as SAML, WS Federation, and OIDC to design and explain secure integrations.
Apply government and industry compliance standards including ITAR, NIST 800 171, and CMMC to support secure collaboration with vendors and external partners.
Whiteboard solutions and explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non technical audiences.
Collaborate with Services, Operations, Engineering, and Product teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
Create technical documentation, examples, and written materials to support demos and solution designs.
Additional responsibilities may be assigned as business needs evolve.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in pre sales engineering, solutions engineering, or a related role.
Experience in customer facing roles such as Services, Support, or Customer Success.
Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.
Hands on experience with authentication protocols including SAML, WS Federation, and OIDC.
Knowledge of security concepts within SaaS and cloud hosted applications including password hashing, SSL TLS, encryption at rest, XSS, and CSRF protections.
Experience navigating compliance standards such as ITAR, NIST 800 171, and CMMC.
Ability to produce writing samples and demonstration examples as part of the interview process.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
Proven team oriented approach with a strong commitment to customer success.
Highly detail oriented, adaptable, and comfortable working in deadline driven environments.
Skilled at creating technical documentation and performing in depth analysis.
Experience developing product demonstrations and leading Proof of Concept initiatives.
Familiarity with SaaS and cloud based services.
Collaborative mindset with a passion for creative problem solving.
Self starter attitude with a proactive approach to identifying and solving challenges.

Herndon, VA with an expectation of being onsite three days per week
