We are seeking an experienced and driven Functional Deployment Site Practitioner to support the full lifecycle of a major Electronic Health Record (EHR) system implementation across multiple medical centers and clinics. In this role, you will serve as a critical liaison between clinical operations, functional teams, and technical partners, ensuring a smooth and successful transition to a new EHR platform.
This position involves significant collaboration with clinical and functional stakeholders, semi-frequent travel to deployment sites, and hands-on involvement in discovery, analysis, readiness, and adoption activities. The Work:
- Lead and support discovery efforts at hospitals and clinics to understand existing workflows, clinical services, SOPs, shared services, and research-related information.
- Conduct post-discovery analysis to inform functional and clinical scope, system requirements, and capability needs.
- Develop a deep understanding of the client’s standard capabilities, workflows, and services to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
- Build recommendations for addressing capability gaps and ensuring functional readiness throughout the deployment lifecycle.
- Serve as a bridge between technical teams and clinical end users, translating functional requirements into actionable guidance.
- Collaborate closely with Change Management (CM) and End User Engagement & Adoption (EUEA) teams to provide clinical expertise and deployment support.
- Support User Readiness Assessments (URA), data collection and build activities, testing cycles, training, and adoption events.
- Travel (up to 40%) to hospitals and clinics across multiple geographic regions.
Here's What You Need:
- Experience performing assessments in a hospital or clinic setting
- Familiarity with clinical information systems and healthcare workflows
- Knowledge of inpatient and outpatient services and operations
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Ability to translate clinical needs into functional and technical requirements
Bonus Points If You Have:
- Experience with Oracle Health EHR (Oracle Cerner) or similar EHR vendors
- Prior involvement in system deployments, workflow analysis, or clinical transformation initiatives
