Position Overview
The Director of Capture Management will lead strategic growth efforts for defense and federal IT portfolios, focusing on the Department of Defense (DoD) and related agencies. This role combines capture management and long-term account growth strategy for high-value opportunities (individually over $50M).
You will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for defense accounts, advising on market trends, customer needs, competitive intelligence, and strategic growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Capture Teams: Form and manage cross-functional teams to pursue high-value opportunities within DoD/DoW.
- Growth Strategy Execution: Drive growth strategies for defense accounts, ensuring alignment with long-term goals.
- Capture Strategy & Proposal Execution: Develop and execute capture strategies and lead proposal efforts to differentiate Mc3 Partners.
- Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders; foster long-term partnerships.
- Competitive Intelligence: Lead market analysis and provide insights to inform capture strategies.
- Partnerships & Alliances: Identify and manage external partnerships to enhance offerings.
AI-Focused Responsibilities
- Use AI-powered tools for market intelligence, competitor analysis, and customer insights.
- Apply AI to accelerate opportunity assessments and generate capture artifacts (e.g., call plans, discriminator maps, proposal storyboards).
- Integrate AI outputs into win strategies while ensuring compliance and quality.
- Champion AI adoption across the capture team and identify new use cases.
Qualifications
Required:
- 10–15 years of experience in business development, capture management, and program delivery in federal contracting (minimum 5 years in growth-focused roles).
- Proven leadership managing cross-functional teams.
- Strong background in capture strategy, proposal development, and growth in federal IT and defense sectors.
- Experience engaging with senior government officials and defense contractors.
- In-depth knowledge of DoD/DoW contracting processes and large-scale defense programs.
Preferred:
- Experience managing strategic partnerships and alliances.
- Extensive proposal management experience for multi-million-dollar federal contracts.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- Familiarity with core capabilities: Digital Transformation, AI, Data Analytics.
