This individual will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, managing month-end close processes, and supporting business leaders with financial insights that drive operational performance.

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Controller to oversee all accounting and financial operations for a growing manufacturing organization. This individual will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy of financial reporting, maintaining strong internal controls, managing month-end close processes, and supporting business leaders with financial insights that drive operational performance.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and fixed assets.
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
- Prepare timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
- Develop and maintain internal controls and accounting policies to ensure compliance and financial integrity.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting.
- Analyze financial results and provide recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
- Partner with operations and executive leadership to support strategic decision-making.
- Coordinate annual audits and serve as the primary contact for external auditors.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax requirements.
- Optimize accounting processes and leverage NetSuite to improve reporting and operational efficiencies.
- Mentor and develop accounting staff while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership responsibilities.
- Prior experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, or Accounting Manager in a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on experience using NetSuite ERP is required.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, cost accounting, and internal controls.
- Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- CPA or CMA designation is preferred but not required.
- Manufacturing cost accounting.
- Inventory accounting and standard costing.
- ERP implementation, optimization, or system enhancements.
- Process improvement and automation initiatives.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
- Collaborative approach with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
